Is the free plugin really free forever?
Yes. The free tier is not a trial — it has no expiry date and no feature degradation over time. Pro adds advanced functionality, but the free tier stays free and fully functional indefinitely.
Do I need an API key to use Simple AI Chatbot?
No. KB-Only mode works entirely from your knowledge base without any external API. An Anthropic API key is only needed if you want to enable AI-powered responses for questions outside your knowledge base.
Can I use the plugins on multiple sites?
Free plugins (GPL-licensed) can be used on unlimited sites. Pro licenses are sold per-site — one license covers one WordPress installation. Contact us if you need a multi-site arrangement.
How do I update a plugin?
Free plugins update automatically through the standard WordPress plugin updater (Dashboard → Updates). Pro licenses include update delivery through the same mechanism once your license key is active.
What are the minimum requirements?
WordPress 6.0 or later, PHP 8.0 or later. We test against the current WordPress release and the last two major versions. If you’re on older software, we recommend upgrading for security reasons regardless of our plugins.
